I started playing in garage bands at the age of 13. Drums, guitar and eventually, bass and my vocals became my weapons of choice. My junior high school band started playing high school dances, company picnics, and even the infamous Madison Battle of the Bands.

During my high school years, I played bass in a 3-piece blues/rock band named “Mudkat”. I played in a number of other local bands leading up to a long-term stay with “The Instigators.”

My musical influences are too many to mention. My love of music is what keeps me going on through the good times and the bad.

In 1984, I hung up the bass for over 20 years to pursue family and survival. I was easily coaxed into pulling the dusty Fender out of the closet and into realizing that is like it is like riding a bike, but it doesn’t hurt as bad when you fall off. Now I’m looking for another 20 years of playing good ol’ rock’n’roll while enjoying senior citizens discounts.
